By submitting a booking request and making the required payment, the customer confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
1. Service Provider
The cooking classes, accommodation and related experiences offered through this website are provided and sold by:
BORGO PONETA SOCIETÀ SEMPLICE AGRICOLA
Borgo Poneta is responsible for providing the booked services and managing customer reservations.
2. Booking Request and Confirmation
Bookings may be submitted through the online booking system available on the website.
When a booking request is submitted, its initial status is Pending.
The customer may receive an automatic acknowledgement confirming that the booking request and payment process have been received.
A Pending booking is not yet confirmed.
The booking becomes confirmed only after it has been reviewed and manually approved by Borgo Poneta and the customer receives the corresponding confirmation.
Borgo Poneta may decline a booking request where the requested date, time, number of participants, accommodation availability or other booking conditions cannot be accommodated.
The customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete information when booking.
3. Prices
Prices are expressed in euros (€).
Each experience page indicates the applicable price and the services included.
For multi-day experiences, the published price includes only the accommodation, cooking classes, meals and other services expressly described in the relevant offer.
Optional extras or additional services will be communicated separately where applicable.
4. Online Prepayment
Applicable bookings require full online prepayment.
Payment is processed securely through Nexi.
The customer must complete the online payment process in order to submit the booking request.
Full payment-card details are processed through Nexi and are not stored on this website.
Successful payment does not by itself confirm the booking.
The booking remains Pending until manually approved by Borgo Poneta.
5. Booking Declined After Payment
If Borgo Poneta is unable to accept a Pending booking request after the customer has successfully completed payment, the customer will be informed as soon as reasonably possible.
In this case, the amount paid for the declined booking will be refunded in full using the applicable payment/refund procedure.
No cancellation penalty applies where Borgo Poneta itself declines a booking request before confirmation.
6. Cancellation by the Customer
Customers may cancel a confirmed booking free of charge up to 7 days before the scheduled start date and time of the cooking class or booked experience.
Where the cancellation is received within the free-cancellation period, the amount paid for the cancelled booking will be refunded.
For cancellations received less than 7 days before the scheduled start time, 100% of the total booking amount will be retained as a cancellation fee and no refund will be due, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
Cancellation requests should be communicated as soon as possible using the contact information provided on the website or in the booking confirmation.
The relevant time for determining whether the cancellation falls within the free-cancellation period is the time at which Borgo Poneta receives the cancellation request.
7. No-Show
If the customer does not attend the confirmed experience and has not cancelled within the applicable free-cancellation period, the booking will be considered a no-show.
In the event of a no-show, 100% of the amount paid will be retained and no refund will be due, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
8. Refund Processing
Where a refund is due under these Terms, it will be processed through the payment method or payment infrastructure applicable to the original transaction.
The time required for the refunded amount to become visible on the customer’s account may depend on Nexi, the customer’s card issuer or financial institution.
9. Late Arrival
Customers should arrive at the agreed location at the scheduled time.
Borgo Poneta will make reasonable efforts to accommodate delays where possible.
A significant delay may result in a shortened experience or, where participation is no longer reasonably possible, may be treated as a no-show.
10. Changes to the Number of Participants
Requests to change the number of participants are subject to availability.
A reduction in participants made at least 7 days before the scheduled experience may be accepted and any corresponding amount due for refund will be handled according to the applicable booking conditions.
Reductions communicated less than 7 days before the scheduled experience may be subject to the same 100% cancellation condition applicable to cancelled participants.
Any increase in participants is subject to availability, confirmation and payment of the applicable additional amount.
11. Cancellation or Changes by Borgo Poneta
If Borgo Poneta is unable to provide a confirmed experience, the customer will be informed as soon as reasonably possible.
Depending on the circumstances, Borgo Poneta may offer:
- an alternative date or time;
- an equivalent experience; or
- cancellation and refund of the affected service.
If no acceptable alternative is agreed, amounts already paid for services cancelled by Borgo Poneta will be refunded.
12. Accommodation and Multi-Day Experiences
Some experiences include accommodation and multiple cooking classes.
The services included are those expressly stated on the relevant experience page and booking confirmation.
Depending on the selected experience, these may include:
- accommodation;
- cooking classes;
- lunches or dinners;
- local wine and water;
- other expressly listed services.
Check-in, check-out and cooking-class schedules will be communicated in connection with the reservation.
Any services not expressly listed are not included unless separately agreed.
13. Dietary Requirements and Allergies
Customers should communicate allergies, food intolerances and dietary requirements when making the booking or as soon as possible afterwards.
Borgo Poneta will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requirements communicated in advance.
Customers with serious or potentially life-threatening allergies should contact Borgo Poneta before participating so that the suitability of the experience can be assessed.
Unless expressly confirmed otherwise, the complete absence of traces of allergens cannot be guaranteed in an environment where different ingredients are prepared.
Specific experiences advertised as gluten-free are provided according to the procedures and information stated on the relevant experience page.
14. Alcoholic Beverages
Wine may be included in certain experiences.
Alcoholic beverages are served only in accordance with applicable Italian law.
Persons who are not legally permitted to consume alcohol will not be served alcoholic beverages.
15. Responsibility of Participants
Participants must follow reasonable instructions concerning:
- kitchen equipment;
- cooking and food preparation;
- property and outdoor areas;
- accommodation facilities;
- health and safety.
Borgo Poneta may refuse or discontinue participation where a person’s behaviour creates a significant safety risk to themselves, staff, other participants or property.
16. Children
Children may participate where permitted by the selected experience.
Prices and age categories are stated on the relevant experience page.
Children remain under the supervision and responsibility of their accompanying adult.
17. Right of Withdrawal
Cooking classes, accommodation packages and related leisure services offered through the website are booked for a specific date or period.
Where the statutory requirements are met, the general 14-day right of withdrawal applicable to certain distance contracts does not apply.
The cancellation conditions set out in these Terms therefore apply.
18. Personal Data and Payments
Personal data are processed according to the website’s Privacy Policy.
Information concerning cookies and similar technologies is available in the Cookie Policy.
Online payments are securely processed through Nexi according to the applicable payment-service conditions and privacy information.
19. Applicable Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
